State Enterprise "Zhytomyr distillery" is an enterprise of more than century-old quality traditions. The distillery was founded in July 1896. As the century has passed the appearance of the plant has also changed and it has become a modern enterprise; new equipment has filled the workshops; most resent production technologies are being used; several generations of specialists have changed, who put their labor, knowledge and a part of their souls into the products of the enterprise… But there remains the only thing, which doesn't undergo any changes - quality of the ardent drinks.

Vodkas and nastoykas of "Zhytomyr Distillery" are famous for their pleasant taste and aroma, an also for their surprising softness and lightness. This is the result of caring preservation of ancient recipes and the result of new recipe authoring creation, also the result of applying to exceptionally natural ingredients and the result of the strictest quality control on every production stage. Grain-crops spirit under the name "Extra", sweet-scented honey, fruits and berries, medicinal healing herbs - everything, in which the generous marshy lands of Polessye are rich, is used in original recipes of "Zhytomyr Distillery".

Remaining one of only several left state enterprises of distillery industry branch, State Enterprise "Zhytomyr distillery" has been dynamically growing and constantly improving its market positions. First of all, it is due to modern management and manufacture modernization. Large-scale reconstruction has been going on since 2001. New workshops and warehouses have been built; contemporary equipment has been installed. In particular, blend room premises have been reconstructed, technological capacities have been changed, and new system of water preparation has been implemented. Automated line on finished commodity packing in shrinkable film was introduced in 2003. Additional filtration systems were installed in 2003-2004. Implementation work on new system of water supply and water preliminary treatment is going on nowadays.

State Enterprise "Zhytomyr Distillery" annually increases volume of output and volume of products realization, and it also expands market geography. Hence, during 8 months of the year 2004 the volume of output has increased more than 150% compared to the analogy last year period. And the volume of products realization per 8 months of the year 2004 equaled to 338.3 thousand dulls while last year sales were 401.8 thousand dulls. Nowadays State Enterprise "Zhytomyr Distillery" maintains ties with foreign partners interested in high quality Ukrainian vodka supplies. In particular, "Zhytomyr Distillery" products supplies to the United States of America began in October 2004.
